Juan F. Seguin was born on October 27, 1806 in San Antonio. Before he even thought about going into the military, he assisted his mother as a postmaster while his father was writing the Mexican Constitution of 1824. In 1825, before he went into the military, he married a girl named Maria Gertudis Fores de Abreg. They had ten children. He did not get put into the military, but instead, he gladly entered because as a teenager, he was very interested in politics. When he was in military, he served as a colonel in the Texan army 1835, 1836 and 1842. When he was in he commanded troops for the Texan army in 1835. When he died, he passed away from old age at the age of 83 years, 11 months, and 0 days old. J
